Puglia is a perfect destination for people who want a more authentic Italian experience.  Puglia, offers a perfect blend of warm hospitality, world-class cuisine, rich history, the most beautiful beaches in Italy, and strikingly impressive landscape.

It is a good value destination- especially compared to other parts of Italy.  When you’re planning a trip to Puglia, you will find reasonable accommodations, food, and drinks- expect good quality for fair prices (especially in off-peak times) .  The Brindisi, and Bari airports are central to this region of Italy.

Puglia is the region that forms the beautiful “boot heal”.  This alluring region in southern Italy features 584 miles of coastline.  The region looks out over the Mediterranean Sea, and meets the Adriatic Sea on the east side and the Ionian Sea on the west side.  This sun-drenched peninsula offers white sandy beaches, and incredible cliff vistas.   It’s larger cities include Bari, Taranto, Foggia, Andria, Lecce, Barletta, Brindisi, and Altamura.  The towns and villages have their own personalities waiting for your discovery.  Favorites in Salento include Galatina, Corigliano d’ Otranto, Gallipoli, Tricase, Nardo  and Otranto.

As you travel around the Valle d’Itria, consider Locorotondo, Monopoli, Cisternino, Ostuni, Castro, Polignano a Mare, and Alberobello.  These are great Puglia travel destinations to use as a home base, or for a day trip.

You may not find your big name hotel here.  Consider renting an apartment, home, Masseria (country estate), or Trulli house (traditional dry stone hut with corbelled roof) on Booking.com  or Airbnb.
